Moving Meditations: Embodying Bartenieff Fundamentals through sensorial awareness of breath, bones and gravity

This article shares a somatic approach to the practice of meditation reflecting on experiences facilitating classes for others as well my own personal practice. I share application Bartenieff Fundamentals framework meditation, outlining language body it offers imagery-based guided – process embodied fundamentals. Through exploring relationship between and being in world, question how Bartenieff’s Principle Breath Support may guide this embodiment we might shade, tone strengthen engagement, revealing dialogic form fluidity, moving spiritual connectivity. The use voice, heightened sensorial awareness through imagery breath, bones gravity are considered meditations: an embodying body–space–environment transactional space self-care.
